      I bought a new bike in 2021, and committed to waxing almost immediately. And now I love it and could never go back. I've gone gravel, and once on the chain it's obvious it helps to shed sand, mud, and water. Putting your bike in the car is possible without turning anything the chain touches black too.

      I bought a cheap $15 hotpot off of Amazon just for the bike wax, and it's made it very easy to clean with boiling water, and rewax again.

      I feel like Silca is gaslighting me through their advertisers. As a retired marketer, I will admit they’re brilliant for creating a category then monopolizing it. As for performance, Rock & Roll lube is zero hassle to apply and keeps your drivetrain super clean WITHOUT wax flaking off your chain and gunking up your rear mech (see what I did there?).

      It amuses me how long it takes for things to catch on in the cycling world. Everyone is now talking about waxing as if it's the next best thing. I was waxing my chain at least 15 years ago because I realised just how much better it is.
      Also the CVT hubs and fully automatic shifting on my bikes gives a ride experience so far ahead of what anyone else is riding. Maybe that will catch on to sometime in the next 20 years and i can proudly say I was the first.
