While learning a new motocross track – Wheeldon Farm off road activity centre – Harley got a bit too over confident and started to jump on parts of the track… when he should have been rolling them. He was jumping a table (that for a few laps he’d already been clearing comfortably) when he went a bit hard, cleared it so much he almost cleared the following roller – but instead he landed on the face of the up. A huge case. Like a flat land but much worse. It all went so wrong for him.

Casing this jumps landing so hard he used up all of his bikes suspension…. and broke his leg. He didn’t even crash the bike – and he finished the lap off to come off the track at the proper place; with his broken leg!!!!

A few hours in A&E and a number of xrays later… Harley was given his cast, he had a black one fitted and now the journey to recovery begins. Step one: learn how to use crutches and generally get around the house.
