🚴♂️ Portuguese Camino by Bike: Coimbra to Porto – via Aveiro, Spring Weather & a Massive Flood
In this episode of my real-time Camino de Santiago series, I take on one of the most talked-about stretches: from Coimbra to Porto. After battling food poisoning and weeks of rain, I finally caught a break—and decided to take a detour through Aveiro, one of my favorite cities in Portugal.
🌤️ Everything was going perfectly. Spring had sprung. I felt great. The bike was rolling smooth. Until the road… disappeared.
🦆 Somewhere near a peaceful bird sanctuary, the road turned into a literal lake. Google Maps panicked, I tried to improvise, and somehow I ended up right back on the Camino. You honestly can’t script this stuff.
