ABOUT US:
Bonjour! I’m Vivienne, an artist, designer, antique & vintage jewelry dealer, and also the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful husband, Simon, our daughter, and —whenever possible— lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 25 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, after 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and —of course— antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

That looks like SO much fun on those electric bikes 😊. I watched a TV show on a fellow in VT that rented bikes for tourists who would ride from Inn to Inn through the beautiful HILLY countryside of Vermont. He said at the end of the first day everyone who had opted for a traditional bicycle wanted to switch to the electric bike because the people who were riding them were having so much more fun!

Love the touring of the Castles, and these electric bikes are really perfect and a fun way to enjoy time together ,riding with family and/ or friends. Such a great way for people to get some special excercise time in ,at least a few times a week! But you are already so busy, and do not need that much more excercise! lol But it certainly can help let go of stress as well! Does look like fun. Not sure I could do it any more? It has been awhile. So glad Stephanie was able to give a gift of one of her scarves, with her father's artistry! He really was quite an artist! It truky was lovely and wil be perfect for you! Do not know how Vivienne can bring joy to anyone and no matter how they were feeling , just using her lovely smile and joyful face and true caring ways, people cannot help but love her! Her whole family is like this. Simon with his loving ways and We know there is only one Vivienne who can bring such love in all she sells or gives as gifts ,in such a sweet way. Laland is beaming with all new life this Easter Season! Glad you had the time to visit and stay a bit in a new room at the Bed and Breakfast.
