  1. The irony of this video coming up as I've juts ordered this bike. When universal bedford opens (hopefully), we should go for a bike ride together as it's near me. There are lots of great tracks and routes around here.

  2. I love the Alton area, the countryside is stunning and I always want to stay longer to explore it. We were looking out for you on your bike when we were driving up last week lol! 😂. We like cycling to the countryside around Upton St.Leonards in Gloucestershire from Gloucester.

  3. It's so funny as an American, seeing you cycle on the other side of the road. I kept cringing and reminding myself of England's driving laws. I adore the countryside there. It's so peaceful and beautiful. Love the drone footage, too. Hope you, Charlotte, and family are well. ❤

  4. Great video Shawn, thank you. Once did a school trip was a bike ride to and from Alton Towers which was 30 miles each way. Great idea at the time but never again.!!

  5. Love the video shawn I know you referenced alton towers alot in the video I know it's the wrong channel to mention it but the skyride re opens 30th April as well Congo river rapids opening 7th April from midday incase you may want to do a alton towers news update

  6. I went in through the original entrance Shawn in 1980. They just had people in high vis jackets. Selling tickets. The sea lions were there too at the time. Many Moons ago. I think it was £3-5 for an adult.👍

  7. Loved this video it really is a beautiful area to visit I’ve always wanted to do a bit more exploring when I’m down.i’m a massive jcb enthusiast so always tie in a visit to jcb with n Alton towers trip,I’m lead to believe the reception gift shop has closed now which is a shame because I collect everything jcb from models to brochures and clothing etc.I was lucky enough to get asked down a few years ago to jcb quarry and test drove a jcb around the lake at the estate it’s beautiful down there, with regards to the story of jcb you can actually book it online I think you can film in the story of jcb but not on the factory floor,I hadn’t realised your dad worked for jcb which department did he work at?

  8. Great vlog shawn, reminds us all that we should zen for even an afternoon its good for our mental health, having such great scenary helps too!! ❤❤❤❤

  9. This is fabulous, the surrounding area of Alton is beautiful. Ramblers retreat and the chained oak b&b are favourites of mine. Lovely to see the rest of the area.
What did the circular building in Alton village used to be?

  10. What an absolutely brilliant video! After all the years of going to AT and driving through Denstone, often saying we should go and scout around up there, we never knew all those beautiful trails existed! I shall definitely be going there with my camera! Thanks Shawn! Top video! 🤩🚵‍♀️🌿

  11. I've been watching both your channels for over 18 months now and this has got to be my favorite video ever as i'm a history buff originally from Yorkshire now living in the Bay Area California for over 16 years, your video scratched my history itch so thank you.And all the best for the Arrival of Baby Sandbrook.

  12. Excellent video.. it's so important for everyone to have a break from their phones, computers, and social media, and if you can, as Shaun says, get out there and have your own adventures

  15. A fantastic video Shaun, it would be great to see you cover other local moorlands businesses like peak wildlife park and the churnet valley railway, particularly because of their plans to bring the railway back to Alton!

  17. You can't beat Ashmore's ice cream, its one of the best 😎 I remember them last year shutting Hollington road for a big golf tournament JCB had. Was a pain in the rear for us locals.
