Planning to get the four corners for bikepacking and long tours.
According to the Marin size guide I am recommended size M. Test rode both size M and L frame and I like the feel of the Large frame. Size M felt like I was cramped in.
Also I plan to swap the drop bars to Jones H-bars which are swept back so I am thinking on a size M it might feel even more squeezy.
Help me decide, does the L frame look too big one me? or share your experience.
My dimensions:
Height- 167cm (5’5)
Inseam- 81cm

Following I’m 5ft9 and ordering soon did you do your inseam ?
Without looking id say your a medium but if that’s a large in the photo it looks right ( reach and stand over wise) no harm having a touring bike slightly on the longer side anyway. Bike mechanic of 10 years so speaking from experience.
what happens when you grab the hoods, this is not a flatbar bike brother. id tend to look at the S and im your size, maybe 1-2 cm taller.
