I’ve currently decided to change from my Polygon Siskiu T8.Just as a backstory, I’m a 30M, Brazilian living in the US for maybe another year tops.Been riding mtbs on and off since I was 15, bought the T8 in January 2023 and fell in love with the sport again, but after seeing how many cracked Polygon frames have been claimed I decided to upgrade my bike before the “inevitable” comes.What I look for on this next bike is a something to ride for the next maybe 5/7 years and have no headaches, so the price point that I came up with after some research is the vecinity of 4000$. That’ll provide a great drivetrain (GX, XT or even SLX in some cases), great suspension (Fox performance/factory or Lyric Ultimate) and now it comes time to decide which bike I’ll be riding for the next 5 years, most likely taking it to Brazil since all the bikes cost at least twice their prices in USD over there.

These are pretty much the best bang for the buck that I could find.I really felt like the T8 had enough travel and surprised me how good it was on the climbs where I live, however I think that a 160/150 might be the sweet spot for the trails back home, and I wanted to pay more upfront just so I don’t want to upgrade parts later, like I’ve wanted with the Polygon’s fork, shock, rims, breaks etc.
