An update, now that Dwars Door Vlaanderen (men's) has finished.
Visma Lease a Bike looked fantastic…….until they didn't. I thought it was going to be a real boost for Wout van Aert and the team ahead of Flanders, but I think it will actually be the opposite.
Another incident of note – Nils Politt of UAE had a crash and didn't look too good after it – I've not seen an update but it might be in the balance as to whether he can race on Sunday in support of Pogacar.
Any chance Van Aert is sandbagging to surprise Van der Poel and Pogacar at Flanders (and Paris Roubaix)?
If MVDP wins, he needs to lift both his own bike and the #2 finisher's bike above his head at the same time at the finish to freshen things up.

The only riders in my lifetime (born in 2000) that I can think of who have won a Grand Tour, and have finished in the top 10 at a cobbled classic except for Pogacar are Geraint Thomas (8th at RVV and 7th at Roubaix in 2014) and Bradley Wiggins (9th at Roubaix in 2014)
Impossible to predict that is. Could be Pog, could be Mathieuโฆwho knowsโฆPog will probably start torturing MvdP still on the first Kwaremont and then keep turning the screws, we will see
One thing is for sure-unlike MSR, here the options of torturing MvdP are much more ๐

Wout raced perfectly until he cramped. If he can get his head straight, he will be in the mix and it should be great. I predict he helps Jorgueson to win and then ends up positioned to win or come close to it
Yes, Chesterfield predictions are much easier than bike racing, especially since the consequences of being incorrect are not as costly as while actually racing. Loved the showโค. Always a party.
