But thats why Tadej will go down as the greatest of all time, cause Jonas is one of the best gc riders ever and MVDP is one of the greatest classics rider of all time and yet tadej beats them both

Pogacar is a GC rider in first place. That should be mentioned more often and that is what makes him so great in my opinion. He is so strong on every terrain and just want to compete even if he knows that a 78kg riders peaks more power and is just better in races with just small hills and only a few climbing. But he is still trying. He is in a journey to become the best cyclist in , at least modern, history! Just fun watching him and of course the others who fight him!

I confess to a big, round, head. Had an uncomfortable helmet a very long time ago that seemed ok when I tried it in the shop but found on long rides that it wasn’t wide enough. Changed brands and no problem since.
I have a large swede, 59cm, but have never had a issue with my helmet. I generally wear high end lids and check the sizing before I buy. Try before you buy = no problems.
However , I once had my head lazer scanned by a manufacturer for an expensive, custom 3D printed helmet. I can't live with it 😮

Seems like the other riders in the peloton (except Ganna) believe they’re not as good as Mvdp and Pogi. Until that mindset changes they won’t be seriously challenged.

Safety and fast idea… pro racers should wear something that would make them a belly which would serve while crashing as airbag but also as speed gains with those aero gains!! Waiting for Ollie to wear it. 😅

To cement his legacy, Pogacar is trying to win all types of races. In twenty years time we will look at the competitions with Vingegaard and Van Der Poel and who ever else is next, but I thing what we will really be astounded at is the volume and variety of his wins.
Wait Voss is the Voss of cycling not the Merckx of cycling. That comparison can’t work. You could say Voss is the Tyson of cycling but not that a top cyclist is comparable to the top cyclist of cycling.

Big head problems are real with helmets. I can’t find one that fits me correctly and also looks nice. This has left me using the same old tired and crashed helmet I’ve had for nearly a decade. The industry has absolutely zero R&D for anything bigger than medium.
It's a shame we haven't got a rivalry between broadcasters in the UK. Oh yes, we do of course! TNT or SFA.😢
Track cycling is anything but boring!! Very spectator friendly, you can watch the entire race from your seat and the races are relatively short. I love to watch it.
I have found helmets uncomfortable yes. I wear (and have used as in crashed) a (2) Evade(s) but have a very large head front to back especially. Evades are also light – gave an older Kask aero that gets uncomfortable after an hour or two and many others are also not fun after a while. However I never let that stand in the way of wearing as I have used 3 over the years for their designed purpose.

Re: Pogi v MVDP: I think the UCI could add a similar thing to golf rankings… when someone wins an event in golf the world ranking score that person gets is adjusted depending on how many of the worlds top 50 are in the field that weekend. There should be two stats to consider… toughness of event x toughness of participation. That way we can compare different eras and even rank each race for how hard it is to win.

About bike prices, if you really are broke, there are so many second hand vintage bikes out there which are a steal. Some steel race bikes from the 80s provide incredible value for money, you might have to throw in a new set of tires, maybe new break pads, possibly a chain, and off you go. I believe this has been covered on GCN a few times already. There's also community workshops ready to help you in most middle-sized cities to get you started with DIY maintenance, allowing more savings.
Lloydy – looking great! I can see that your dedicated workout and fitness regime is paying off. Your fellow presenters should take note! Keep up the good work inspiring the cycling community that skinny is not necessarily "fit"; muscle mass and core strength are very important particularly as we get older. Cheers.
