Hello everyone.

I've found this complete bike online, but I haven't had the chance to see it in person yet. The guy that is selling it is not "like us", so go try to explain how to take pictures of BB, serial nr and so on 🙂

He is saying it's a Cinelli Rampichino sold in italy in 1985, he bought it from the original owner that got it from a "Grivel" shop. "Grivel" was (and is) an Italian climbing gears manufacturer/brand. He's saying it's a special/limited edition, but I could find anything about this Cinelli x Grivel collaboration.

Cinelli started selling the first commercial mountain bikes in 1986 (see catalog here:https://issuu.com/cinelli.vintage/docs/cinelli_1986_yellow ).

The year before Cinelli manufactered and sold a limited batch (1000 numbered frames) of the very first Rampichino via an italian magazine called Airone.  You can find more information, pictures of the bike and of that lovely silly magazine article, here:https://theradavist.com/1985-airone-x-cinelli-rampichino/

Please note the main difference between the first limited edition bike and the 1986 one is the fork.

Now, I suspect this bike might actually be a part of that limited first production batch, for real. Components like drivetrain and handlebar actually match the ones of the Cinelli x Airone, but again, I couldn't find any confirmation online and I'm waiting for answers from cinelli and cinellivintage.

What do you guys think?
