My passion for bikes started when my parents opened a shop in the 1980s called Parker Bikes (we were located in Parker, Colorado). My love for cycling has continued since then, in my work and with my hobbies of road cycling and mountain biking. After my parents’ shop closed, I worked for other bike shops (including Lee’s Cyclery in Fort Collins), where I built and sold bikes, fixed and tuned up bikes, and managed inventory.
I love working on bikes and want to share my passion for cycling with others. So, next time you’re talking cycling with someone and wondering how to get started or where to go from here, you can think, “I know a guy!”

Great video and explanation of the process. However, I'm not sure you were clear on the information at the end; compound and polish refine the the clearcoat surface providing shine, but do not provide any protection at all, that is only accomplished by applying a wax, sealant, or coating (ceramic or graphene). This will also make the paint "pop" more depending on what you use, increasing the gloss and reflections. I may have missed this, but it may have been beneficial to use a clay bar (or towel/mitt) to remove any imbedded material prior to compounding. Lastly, again you may have mentioned this as well, but it is important to keep your arm movements slow and steady during the process (for both compound and polish) to get the best results.
Every Klein still looks like it's from the future.
Wow impressive skill, I'm just starting to learn about working on bicycles. I'm 47😅
Have you ever considered a Ceramic or Graphene coating to protect the paint? Looks fantastic!!! But I would be worries of even getting the slightest scratch on that paintjob!
Love your pure enthusiasm for the art of the bicycle build! I drink the same Kool-Aid!
I have a Klein. The frame is kind of an orangish-purple. Such a beautiful bike. Thanks for the video!
I did not know Purple Power was safe to use on painted surfaces😳
I just bought that style of bike! I was looking them up for reviews and found this video. Awesome. Unfortunately, I no longer live in Colorado so I can’t come to your shop. I did have a question though. Could a like this be upgraded to hydraulic disc brakes and wider tires to make if kind of a gravel bike? I don’t know if I want to do that, I have a Mountain Bike already, but just curious. Thanks!
Considering doing the same on my Wilier Tristana Pro carbon frame. It is one of the last years Wilier still doing bikes in Italy. Paint and clear carbon fiber mixed. Just gorgeous. I will 100% finish it with Meguiers liquid ceramic coat.
Thanks for your video.
