should i buy a trek fx1 gen 3 disc or look at something else?

hi everyone i plan on buying my first bike ever, last one i ever bought was 10+yrs ago.
That being said i did some research and found this bike being sold in near perfect condition. near me for $350. Would this be a good bike or should i look at something else?

I plan on doing small commutes, occasionally less than 20mile rides on bike paths next to the beach, and maybe light trails. I live in Southern California.
