I posted my partner's Marin here a few days ago. Here's my GT after a few winter upgrades.
Yes it's a big frame.
Disc brake upgrade on the rear.
11-51t 11 speed cassette, Deore derailleur, Deore shifter.
I still need to touch up the frame where the rear disc mount was added and I need to tidy up a few loose bits. Overall I'm super happy with it. And it didn't fall apart on the shakedown ride 👌🏻
