I bought a Trek Fuel EX 8 gen 6 new last year, unfortunately it was ridden once and then put in storage due to injury, I’ve noticed these little spots in the paint, 2 of them have blistered. There’s probably about 5-10 in total across the frame. Do I need to be concerned you think? I have emailed the shop, the front SRAM DB8 brake has leaked all its oil out too so bit of a bummer!

Don’t Treks come with a 2 year warranty on components? As for the paint, that may have been caused by the leaky brake fluid but it’s so small, I’d just ride it and not worry about those but it’s up to you.

Trek has a warranty for paint. I think it’s only for the first year though so call trek to double check. They should be able to take your old frame back and send you a new one if that’s what you want. You might have to pay the shop to assemble it though. Definitely call Trek and ask what they can do!

man you’d hate the scratches on my supercaliber. if you’re riding it like you stole it, it’s gonna get dinged up from rocks and sticks and branches on the trails. i wouldn’t worry about it, but if it’s really bothering you call trek’s support line or open a ticket and send photos. they are reasonable and will work with you on issues that are covered under warranty. or take it to the LBS ( preferably where you bought it, so you don’t have to dig out receipts and all that ) and have them open the claim.
