Bansko is a larger town, it has the entire infrastructure of the city, so you can find everything you need. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, a large number of accommodation facilities, so you can find more affordable accommodation prices, as well as luxury apartments, there is a big offer. The weak point is the distance of the ski slopes, you can get to them by gondola or by road (by car, taxi, van..), and it is usually crowded on the gondola. Although during this period when I was there it was not too terrible, on average I waited 30 minutes on weekdays, and almost 1 hour on weekends, which is much less than during holidays, school breaks.. But when you get to the ski lifts, there is no longer jam, I don’t think I waited longer than 2-3 minutes anywhere. The slopes are diverse, wide, have a good inclination and a good length. There are blue, red and black slopes, as well as fun park, and for beginners there is also a practice area. The slopes are well maintained, they were perfectly groomed, but Bansko is a very popular ski resort, there are a lot of people on the slopes, so you should come as early as possible to catch that first period when the slopes are in perfect condition. In general, the ski resort staff is very professional, if someone calls for help, they come within 1 minute on a ski-doo, they carefully monitor the ski lifts, as soon as someone has even the slightest problem getting in or out of the basket, they immediately stop the ski lift. There are a lot of cafes on the slopes (mainly at the starting stations of the ski lifts), and they were all full, the music was great. The weather was great, sunny almost every day, even if the day started out cloudy, it would clear up during the day. The overall impression is mostly positive, but there are some minuses. Apart from waiting for the gondola, I was a little bothered by a huge amount of people on the slopes, especially on slopes 3, 5, 10 and 11. But on the other hand, good thing is that there are some slopes that are pretty empty, like 7, 15 and 16. Slopes 2, 4, 6, 9 are medium crowded, but in some parts of the day more crowded. Also, many skiers and snowboarders (not only here but also in other ski resorts) think they should throw as much snow as possible when they turn, carve the slope as sharply and deeply as possible and thus destroy the slopes very quickly, unfortunately.
