  1. A couple of things, Matteo got the yellow jersey after TTT because of the bonus seconds he got in the previous stages. And reportedly he was offered co-leadership at the Giro but decided against it.

  2. Jonas may have been a "leader" but he didn't target the race… He hasn't even been to altitude yet.

I firmly believe that Matteo is happy to support Jonas and Visma is going to the TDF with a really strong team just like UAE. Remember they are taking Simon Yates along with Kuss which may free Matteo up to attack more often as well.

Hey TeJay, Bozeman still claims you!

  3. He isn't winning the tour anytime soon as long as Tadej is there unless Tadej crashes or just spectacularly blows up. But he will win a grand tour soon. Any race hat Tadej isn't at, Mateo could win. And I do think in the next couple years we will see peak Jorgenson. At his peak I think he can pose a threat to Tadej but I don't think he will ever be at his level. By the age of 30 I think Mateo will have some of the most impressive palmares of the last decade. I'm here for it!

  4. Tj is jealous because he’s a quitter and soft even though he did OK in the Tour de France against not the same caliber of riders today. Jorgensen is 10 times the riders TJ ever dreamed of being TJ got lucky with the era he was in the competition was strong, but not like today plus he’s a crybaby. I kind of remember the oh I broke my finger. I need to pull outand he’s a quitter at that. He quit racing because he’s soft.

  5. Phil I’m a forgiving spirit. Can you publicly acknowledge that you deliberately looked the other way when Armstrong cheated and made 100 million by doping. It takes a big man to admit their faults

  6. If Jorgenson want's to win the Tour De France, Visma has to make him their #1 rider. Visma also needs to add one more good climber to their squad before the Tour De France.

  7. I'm sorry I don't see Matteo as a TdF winner. He's not a pure climber, is he? I'm not sure he can do the kind of climbing required for this style and course or race.

  8. I dont know what it is with you NBC , but ? you have stepped up your game like? i have not seen before ,keep it up well done , everybody not just you two .

  9. I think Mateo is probably going to win a grand tour but not the Tour de France. He's to close in age to Pogi, Jonas and Remco and I just can't see him beating any of those 3

  10. I like Matteo… I would be crazy to think he can win the TdF ahead of Tedej, Jonas, Remco… even if he is on a different team that's build around him.

  11. I don’t see Matteo ever winning the TDF,now if it was the 90’s possibility, he gives me Indurain vibes, he a bigger dude, can TT, and climb enough to be a factor, like Tejay said, now maybe a race like the giro, or Vuelta, maybe if he was on a different team. What I did notice after that TTT stage, no one looked happy, they all looked miserable, as well as the following stage, I know the weather was bad, but that was the look of not being happy, I’m sure there’s some minor drama behind the scenes, but look after Jonas was out, Matteo looked a lot more motivated and happy and cracked a smile, just my 2 cents, either way exciting to see 2 Americans mixing it up in Europe

  12. I respect Phil, but dude this is the most stupid thing ive heard in years. Americans should avoid two things, commenting on football and on cycling. They are just good at spending money on expensive bikes and inventing rules nobody actually follows…..
