Day 6 of our bike journey takes us from Montauban to Toulouse, following the scenic Canal de Garonne as we approach the vibrant “Pink City.” The ride is mostly easy, transitioning from the peaceful countryside into the bustling suburbs of Toulouse. Along the way, we pass the junction of the Garonne and Canal du Midi, a key waterway connection in France.
Once in the city center, we take time to explore some of Toulouse’s most famous landmarks, including the Romanesque Basilica of Saint-Sernin, the Jacobins Church, and the elegant Hôtel d’Assézat, a stunning example of Renaissance architecture.
