Derry, officially known as Londonderry, is the largest city in County Londonderry, the second largest in Northern Ireland, and the fifth largest on the island of Ireland. The historic walled city is located on the west bank of the River Foyle, which is crossed by two road bridges and one footbridge. Today, the city encompasses both banks of the river: Cityside on the west and Waterside on the east.
