Guys please just stop talking about Man Utd when you've got zero clue or context about the club, Mainoo's contract situation rumours are that he wants £180k a week which is obviously batshit for a kid who's had 1 season playing well and hasn't really shone in the current season…

Going on about the yards back on the freekick when u said about they should get the ref to re measure, if u argue any point now they just book you for it left right and centre, then everyone questions there discipline saying same old arsenal always feeling hard done by, its a lose lose for players now, the refs are so protected in this league, if you even think about critisising them you get fined and banned so whats the point in doing it at all? Howard web always seems to wrap some sort of legislation or interpetation around any wrong decision to justify it, gaslighting at its finest! Massively improved performance from united though, this is how they should go about games with the current state there teams in, raya earning arsenal a point with a some solid saves

Really all you pundits shouting that amorim has to change his tactics then when he does to suit the players he has you give out about that amorim can't do anything right can he
The one counter to the Mainoo comments I can think of is where does he fit in the current United system? There's absolutely no doubting that he is a quality young player, and will almost certainly be a phenomenal player in the future, but he's slightly Bellingham-esque in that the team needs to be built around him to allow him to perform. The difference is he doesn't appear to have the same potential level of offensive output to justify doing that.
He struggles in a midfield two (leaves too much grunt work for his partner), and United don't look to be returning to a midfield three any time soon. He's okay as a 10, but it's not his most natural position. As bad as Hojlund and Zirkzee have been, he offers even less as a 9. So in the end you've got a talented young player with some deficiencies, who doesn't fit the system, and wants 180k a week. Sure, you could take the punt on being able to mould him to fit the system, but I can understand the motivation of exploring options when he represents a quick $70-80m profit in a world where you don't get time to develop anything.
Good correction on Mamardashveli. "Whatever his name is" pretty much dismisses it as something weird. "Not worth it." Just because ppl aren't named Henry fn Smith doesn't mean they're any less worthy of proper recognition. And I actually really like Dan Watson.

Saying Mateta is better than Højlund is ridiculous. Højlund is still a young player in just his second season. Sure, he hasn’t been perfect, but it’s not like he’s missing open goals every week. For context, Mateta managed just 8 goals in his first 58 games over three seasons, while Højlund outscored him with 10 goals in 30 games in his first season alone.
What Højlund really needs is an experienced striker alongside him to help him develop. The pressure of being Manchester United’s main striker at just 22 years old is immense.
