In this video I ride from Runcorn to Manchester Castlefield. Filmed in stunning 4k with drone footage I do my best to bring you along on a guided tour.
I have reached out to Peel (the company who own the canal) about the no cycling zones, the funding the received for cycling zones and they have yet to respond. I gave them 7 days before publishing. If they do respond I will pin a comment when convenient to do so.

Nice to see spring returning life to the earth eh ? Looking forward to summer my last ride was from radcliffe to knowl hill with my grandson got a puncture fixed it just to find it flat in the morning repeated and same result I need a new tyre I think there must be something stuck in it . The joys of mtb , lol big respect thanks for another great vid.

10:20 It's easier if you just pull up onto your back wheel for obstacles like that. That is if the railings weren't too high.
It was a frog. Another great video, thanks Karl! I'd personally just ride the canal and ignore the signs but just be polite and give way to everyone I came across.
I've been cycling down past Altrincham to lymm for years lol, I've never noticed any signs. I see loads of people cycling down there. I did have one old guy near Stretford saying I should be on the cycle lane! 🤣 (I kid you not!)
I've been looking out for this video after we met you on your ride – fantastic job, by the way! I agree, our canal is very beautiful. I also agree that the cycle lanes in Manchester are utter wank, and Peel Holdings can do one 😂
Great footage of the breach, I'm still upset from seeing it, it's such a bloody tragedy and given that we'll be relying on Peel to fix it – well, we might have a long wait.

Great video, you deserve far more subscribers, one more from me anyway👍 you mentioned tyres, on my canal/touring/fishing bikes i use 'Schwalbe land cruisers' not only for their puncture resistance and tread pattern but they'll take upto 85psi making any bike a rocket ship👍

"Editing Time" I completely agree. Not only does the Editing take hours so does the encoding and uploading. And at our channel sizes we do it for the love of it, we don't make any money 🤣
What's the longer term thinking around the breached area? Are they expecting it to be fixed and usable – both the path and canal – in the short to mid term?

To get over that narrow bridge, it’s prob best holding the handle bars and lifting it onto the back wheel across,.it’s a balancing act but easier usually 🤪 the bike club taught me that x x x
