Thr chase line goes from Rugeley to walsall. A good diversionary route esp as its now electrified. Before that it used yet more class 170s!

Great vlog G. I have done most of these routes myself and they are quite nice well as long as you can get a seat on CrossCountry anyways. I’m yet to see 170101 Refurbished Turbostar either.

It really is easy already to tell the difference between the EMR 170s and the Cross Country 170s lol
If you go through the Watherspoons it will take you through the park in Burton

Burton-on-Trent is not pretty
Maybe CrossCountry should manage some stations that East Midlands Railway manage but not all EMR trains stop at some stations including Burton-upon-Trent. Plus there are plans to bring back Coventry-Leicester route and to avoid Nuneaton with a Spur line to be built south of Nuneaton and a bridge to pass over the West Coast Main Line.

I will never stop being nervous of Birmingham New Street😊. Many of the staff shout and are bit grumpy in my experience.
