Hi 🙂 I’d like to repair my brooks cambium which after 3 years has gotten a little worn out. I thought I might just glue the fabric onto the rubber. What do you think? Which glue is the right for this job? Thanks for your input.

I did upholstery for a few years and bike seats were uncommon repairs, but we did fix a few. Is a matter of cutting a new piece to cover it, cleaning it all up and gluing the new piece on. Our finished work was never quite as good or clean as a new brooks saddle, but they were decent enough and lasted years. For that one, maybe just a cover over with decent upholstery glue might be enough. Just know that is a trade craft that takes years to learn and master. So maybe take it to an Auto Upholstery shop and ask them if they would do it or if they would sell you the materials to. Glue, leather, a sewing machine, a hand awl, a couple of decent and really sharp knives and scissors, a razor blade, hog rings and hog ring pliers is all that is needed.
Or just do a cover over, just need shears, and a swath from a hide and upholstery glue for that.
You want upholstery glue, is epoxy and usually can be bought in a spray can from a paint store or a hardware store some RV places might carry it also. Good luck
