  1. 3.7 hours journey for under $5. And there's the rub. Locals probably insist on the dirt cheap prices… except there's no free lunch. Keeping prices this low also means the railway company will have a very hard time just supporting maintenance, never mind upgrading to newer trains! And it shows.

  2. Great. Thank you. Done Marrakech to Casablanca and Casablanca to Tangiers, Great! Best way to see a country. Travel well! Cheers

  3. Great trip, another rail adventure in another new country, this time Tunisia. Same 2-2 seating configuration, with just different seating type/material. Well yeah, even though everything is need some maintenance, repair, and restoration into original, but thankfully the train isn't overcapacity. Bit curious, between this train and taking road vehicle, which one is faster?

  4. Hi, thanks for the video of your Tunisian challenge. I was surprised by the condition and neglect of the rolling stock. The government needs both the political will and large financial investment to improve the railway system. I'm sure if Tunisia had been rich in oil like the nearby Gulf states western countries would be falling all over themselves to invest in the country's infrastructure. Regards Barry.

  5. The insufferable Brits are always finding fault w/ other countries. These Beggars should mind their own business. Look at all the problems in their Island of Pirates w/ Royten teeth, so far behind their neighbors like France and Germany. They survive only because the U.S. speaks English.

  6. We have a proverb in Tunisia that says: “The free woman starves and does not eat from her breasts.” It is true that Tunisia is experiencing an economic crisis because it is fighting from within (through traitors) and from without in order to be like Morocco. “We will not and will not be normalized with zionist .” Tunisia is a country of civilizations, ancient history, authenticity and dignity.

  7. Rode from Tangier to Marrakech around 1997 with a night train, conditions similar. A bit dirty, loved it all the same. Will try to make it to Tunisia next winter.

  8. Still, 100 times better than in India. 😂😂

Well, before you make comments, remember the world contains India, Pakistan and Bangladesh as well.
    😂😂😂😂😂
Nothing can be worse than a train journey in these 3 countries, especially in India.
    🤮🤮🤮🤮

  9. At least the seat looks comfy, my last train ride in my country (it was on a loco hauled commuter train which is wildly different even from the the commuter DMU's and EMU's) it still had vertical bench style seating, at least the price is less than a dollar and the railway does have railcars with wildly better seats

  10. In a few weeks time I'm going to try Moroccan trains. From Marrakech to Casablanca and then Casablanca to Rabat. I have never used a train on African continent before.

  11. When I was in Sousse back in the 90's, the trains looked better than this. Dont think I'd ever want to go back to Tunisia.. Sousse & nearby Port El Kantaoui were ok but not anywhere I'd want to revisit.

  12. I don’t know why people go to Tunisia really , a broke country a non functioning government, half of the nation are beggars , horrible roads and rail and infrastructure… man this is expected and nothing new .. literally they have no dime to buy new trains or maintenance the existing ones , thank god you made it safely out of there , Tunisia is a very dangerous unstable country .

  13. I'm a Tunisian student and I always travel by train between my hometown and where I study.
Q: Is there something wrong with our trains?
A: Say what isn't wrong with them
Q: Do they get you from point A to point B in time?
A: Point A to point B yes, in time absolutely not.
Q: Do they need an upgrade?
    A: Isn't that obvious?
Q: Do they get the job done?
    A: Absolutely

  14. You can get a taxi or cab if you want. Trains and public transport are not for tourists; most people here don't take trains, as it is the least-cared-for transport means. Also, the train fare is almost nothing, and there is no difference between first and second class—a maximum of $1 for long distances. I don't know why tourists insist on taking the train when most locals avoid it. Next time, take a taxi.

  15. Why These Euorpeans especailly these BRITISHER who build there country by Looting INDIA and Africa would have to travel on Trains and make judgement on the Infastructure , Dude if you want Luxury then visit only Developed Countries but I know the YouTubers from Developed Countries needs Poverty and Slums of India and Africa to feed their stomach. I see lot of Western Vloggers coming to INDIA and directly shovng there NOSE on Slums and Garbages for Veiws and Likes 😂😂.. I'm happy that Indian Poverty and slums are still feeding the STOMACH of Western PUNKS . All The Best SON of Thief and INDIA Officaily on 2015 STOPED BRITISH AID..

  16. Hello, I'm a Tunisian and this is my first time watching your vlogs. I agree with most of your observations, especially regarding the train services for long distances they can be quite challenging. However, if you were to document the metro system in the capital, you'd find significant improvements. We're a country in progress, continually working to address our issues, and new trains are expected to arrive soon. I took a glance at the comments and was disheartened by the hate speech. While I understand this is your channel and you have creative freedom, I feel your portrayal might have given a somewhat skewed image of our country to global viewers. Despite not being as developed, Tunisia has a wealth of unique experiences to offer. Beyond trains, there's a plethora of exciting content to explore and share. Perhaps consider showcasing our metro system or other aspects of Tunisian culture?

  17. I travelled around Tunisia by train in late 2023 and your description is very accurate. Trains were old, run-down and downright filthy, on average the trains were +2 hours delayed! I was quite impressed by how calmly the locals took it, but I guess they are used to it! :I

  18. Haha, hidden Easter Egg is the number plate of your EMD (0564) loco : it strikes a "91" which according to UIC regulations, it is allocated to electric locomotives (which is not the case here). I thought that Romanians are stupid and cannot tell a 91 (electric) to a 92 (diesel) loco when having UIC12 numbering applied at a larger scale 😂
