After one of our last episodes talking about UK cycling events where we completely failed to mention Audaxing, Triathlon Dan has been on a 200km Audax so he can give us his thoughts on them!

From my experience audax riders are very anti social… tried 3 or 4 and barely anyone speaks to you. Not for me.
Sportives I just don't get, why would I pay to ride on roads I can ride for free just to get a 'free gel' at an 'aid station'. And they definitely aren't a race either… if you want a race put a number on your back.
I love these videos, great topics it’s cycling for all. Keep up the great work👏👍
After my first 200KM brevet last year I got a Steel frame and fork, Randouneering bike with 35CC tires. I love the events and the cool old bikes I also really reccomend it to anyone as well
Done my 1st audax around the New Forest last year and absolutely loved it. Definitely more planned this year
The audax sounds like some of the gravel rides I have done
Happy riding
I thought Audax’s were total nonsense and I had no interest. Your first video (Tri-Dan) changed my opinion to the point where I’d consider doing one in future. Seems like a purposeful way to do long steady distance, a good motivator
I love an audax, its just a good day out with ya bike. 100km audax events can draw a big crowd, like over 100 riders and often have a slightly different feel to the longer events. You get a lot more cycling club groups which can be fast, also a lot of new to audax riders.
Great stuff guys, Google London Edinburgh London, the mother of all UK Audax, runs once every 4 years with over 2k entrants this year from UK and overseas
I enjoyed Dan's Audax video(s) so much so I am going to try a local one and see what I think.
