Messi needs players that can, not only receive a pass and continue the play but pass back to Messi quicker and more efficiently.

He does everything coaches told us not to do growing up 😂. Coaches would say “open up body and have a pass in mind before you get the ball.” He just keeps himself between the defender and ball with random tight dribbles looking directly down at the ball until he feels the moment the defender is in a bad spot then lifts his head and finds an open body. Even three of his own attackers jumped forward too early because it’s hard to read and he was still looking down at the ball. A master at his craft for sure. Imagine if every player played with this style. The game would be very different.
