I picked up this bike a couple of years ago and now that I use it more often I’d love to put some work into updating it or replace it with something better. I usually just ride it on a local greenway, but if I had something lighter and smoother I might try to expand where I ride.
I’m just wondering if it would be worth investing in, or I thought about purchasing an 80s Japanese bike to work on. I’ve never done something like this, but would love a project where I could learn about bikes and come out with a satisfying ride that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. It would be great to have something that wouldn’t be too frustrating to build out. I would also love to hear about other bikes that might be a better fit!
Since I don’t know much at all about restoring vintage bikes I figured this would be a great place to check. Thanks for your help!
