Hit by a car last week and everyone has too many opinions about it lol

I was hit by a car last week on my commute home. No damage to my bike but my arm was injured and everyone who sees the splint wants every detail and to give me a million pieces of advice as soon as I say I was hit lol. I just wanted to hop on here to help make the statistics feel real. I had always heard about how dangerous it is to ride with cars but had never seen a collision. Now I have definitely internalized it 🫠
So here I am to say it happens!! Be careful!! And know the laws about cycling in the road because insurance companies certainly say they do and will try to put fault in the cyclist no matter the imbalance of power and vulnerability inherent in cycling on a road with cars 💀
