Electric bikes are amazing. I was on a LeMond road bike moving along and a girl on a heavy-framed bike was blasting by; I tried to keep up and it was impossible. I was in the tuck, and she's sitting upright and going over 20 mph, incredible. That was a few years ago, it's common now but then it was startling!

What happened in the final time trial of the Tour two years or so ago ? Pogacar was the next to last rider, and he beat the field by 1 minute and 30 seconds. It looked like a slam dunk. Then Vingegaard road last and beat Pogi by a minute and a half. I decided right then that they used mechanical doping, both of them, and refused to watch the conclusion of the Tour. It was not a time trial course that favored climbers. When big money gets involved in sports, you can't trust what's going on.
So Lance Armstrong is simply picking up a long carried baton??? Professional cycling has been corrupt from the beginning??? The words cynical and cycling are apparently related. Thanks for destroying my final thread of faith in humanity. Nothing is real. 😮

Yeah. Sports = cheating. Cycling, baseball, football, running, all of it. Even top amateur-level sports is all about cheating. I was a naïve bike racer and cycling fan until the Lance Armstrong and Tyler Hamilton era. They're just nasty, horrible people who steal livelihoods from honest, hardworking people. It's hard for me to understand how so many people are fans of competitive sports. Because of cheating, athleticism doesn't mean much. It's all a big joke.
