  1. Thanks for the first person POV. And the insight on how it is intended to be ridden. I too am like most who wonder. Is this like a motorcycle? Does it count? But when you said ski mobile it on street makes sense. I agree it does unlock a new open ride experience. Now those who don't ride a motorcycle can join the community and cruise too. I've asked multiple people and they just say it's not a motorcycle but it's fun to ride. Never said it was a ski mobile. Which helps with clarity.

  2. I test rode the Ryker at an outdoor show in my area a few years back. The wife and I loved it so much, the next week we went to the dealership to buy and nobody helped us. So we left, and the dealership missed out on a sale.
I still wish we would have bought it.

  3. I've been riding for many decades, and had Goldwing for several years before buying a Spyder RT. That was 3 years ago when I was 78 and found that the weight of the Goldwing was just getting to be too much for my old muscles at stops and less than ideal surfaces, especially when riding two up. I love the RT and have no regretted trading in the Goldwing even once in the last 3 years. The stability and comfort (yes, it is more comfortable and with better weather protection than even the mighty Goldwing) more than offset the loss of leaning in curves. Going down the road it feels like any other quality motorcycle, and far easier for a beginner to be able to adequately handle this bike than a conventional motorcycle.

  4. My friend lost his leg in a motorcycle accident he owns a Can Am. I test ride a Spyder I honestly love it although it doesn't have a clutch and shifting. I'm going to buy a Can Am for my wife if it can tow a small trailer.

  5. I rode 2 wheels for more than 30 years. Now that I'm in my 70's, I don't have the leg strength to pick a full touring bike off the sidestand, and I sure don't feel comfortable about picking up a big bike if I ever dropped it. My wife loves the Spyder. She says she feels much more secure with 3 wheels rather than 2. For people with physical limitations, It's almost as much fun as a 2 wheeler, and much more practical.

  6. i've been riding for decades, but the time has come where i cabt hold it up at a stop, i think this is the way for me to go, to me standerd trikes tend to push the front wheel these dont seem to do that or am i wrong?

  7. I just started riding period. Im 73 female. My husband is a die-hard Harley rider . I love my Spyder Rt. You mention the steering darting. When I first got my spyder I felt what you are talking about however I found i was gripping the handle bars to tight and was in fact causing the darting myself. The power steering is sensitive, so when you loosen your grip and let the bike follow the road , the steering doesn't dart. It is very comfortable to ride and not tiring at all. My husband loves the CanAm also. He really likes the fact I now will go riding with him, and as for me, I feel liberated riding on my own.

  8. Glanced at the mtc voyager of going from 2 wheels to 4 wheels for my honda goldwing ,compared to a second bike for Wisconsin winters when roads are questionable.
Haven't Glanced at the f3 for riding lately

  9. I love my Ryker, but it seems there is a design flaw that Ca-am/BRP can’t figure out. Before buying one be sure to check the National Highway Transportation Agency complaints – even after a ‘fix’ was in place scores of riders report ‘death wobble’ and issues with brakes/VSS. You can also search social media for the same. Mine was in the shop for more than 4 months. Yikes

  10. Had a 08gs got belted by a car in the backed.written off .insurance coughed ,now have a 2012 rss, neutron green ,love it ,3 day trip,1051 kms ,73.00 in fuel ,planing the next ride already, eats miles .

  11. I love my F3 S. I came from a Street glide and while I miss it on certain things overall, I really love the Spyder. I have some old injuries from the Marines and my balance is off slightly, so it really just keeps me riding more and not worried about dropping a motorcycle. At first, I was thrown off on the handling but after getting used to it and riding it harder it really is fun in the corners and doing burn outs is a blast.

  12. Im 39 I been riding 12 years on 2 wheel i picked up a spider to try something different its like a atv and i love the idea of a atv on the road so im going to give it a shot its not to replace motorcycle but so be a little safer since i have kids and i want to take them on shirt lakes rides 2:42
