Currently looking for aero extensions, in a bikepacking/ultradistance context (so more in a confort perspective than full aero/time-trial one).
Not an easy topic and things are pricey, and most of the time, it’s not possible to try.
The model I’m looking for the most are the Redshift ones (mostly because of their quick-release system).
I would like to not change my saddle position, nor buying a 2 position saddle contraption.
Found this article synthesizing the thing: https://torstenfrank.wordpress.com/2017/06/13/ultradistance-cycling-aerobar-setup/
Tldr: move the bars back and up as much as possible to keep the same hip, back and arms angles as riding in drops.
Question:
Redshift ones have a riser kit available (they mount between the handlebar clamp and armrest), but it « only » adds 30mm to the height. Would it suffice ?
If not, could other risers be added (the ones that mount on the handlebar clamp itself, between
the handlebar and the clamp) ?
