One of main draws for the insta360 ace pro and ace pro 2 was its low light performance! With a larger sensor and a dedicated low light shooting mode, night snowboarding was immediately what I thought of when I saw the insta360 Ace Pro first be announced last year. Unfortunately I was never able to try it last snowboard season with the insta360 Ace pro, but luckily now I can test it the best way possible! Night snowboarding in Austria with the insta360 Ace Pro 2! I’ve used the Purevideo mode quite a bit for various filming throughout the last year but finally getting to use it for ACTION. Had me super excited. In the first lap I’m running it in Freeframe mode which is the dimming Levi typically use with this action camera, then I switch it over to Pure Video which is the Ace Pro and Ace Pro 2 dedicated low light filming mode! What do you all think? I don’t think I’ve ever seen an action camera still retain this much quality and detail in the dark like this. It was DARK with minimal light and much dimmer night snowboarding conditions than I’ve experienced back home.
