Day two 76 miles covered. Two punctures, over heated, got the shakes, and racing heart rate! High blood pressure! What could go wrong? Google maps sending me and my steel framed 25 year old racing bike laden with too many kilos of tent, sleeping bag, ground mat, cooking equipment, food, water, electrical equipment, and dynamos. #CyclingforHealthAndFitness Cycling on the A24 a main road and busy. Right Decision. #Over50Fitness #MatureCyclist #CampingCycleTouring This is part of a mature person’s cycle touring camping endevour to reach Bilbao, Spain via Grenoble, France, across France from the North side to East side and then down South to the coast. I will visit my cousin Paul near Le Faye, Ruffec, France. Just inland of La Rochelle. It’ll take me a while to get there. Tonight whilst only on day two, I’ll be happy to find a campsite, (not booked), as I prefer to go where the road leads me. This I will continue to do for the whole esitmated six week journey, my tomorrows are unplanned except the direction I am going. Day two’s journey needs me to get to the port of Portsmouth. The ferry leaves at 7pm! It turned out to be a 75 mile trek! But for today, I’m happy to show a small section of the trip on the English side of the channel.
