I'm glad that the weather finally improved so that I could go for a ride. Things were pretty bleak for a while, and the trail is the place where I disconnect from everything and recharge.
They are currently repaving and extending the Chief Ladiga trail. They are also refurbishing the bathrooms at the western terminus. Hopefully, it doesn't immediately get destroyed by ding dongs. I'm glad the money for the project was disbursed last year.
I recently realized that Dr. Mike Tucker park is named after a local doctor that was struck and killed by a drunk driver while cycling in 1985. That's why I go out of my way to ride on a rail trail.
Anyway, keep on rollin', baby. And remember, there is still good in the world that's worth fighting for.
