As Royal Enfield add another 650 to the range, let’s see what it is like and how it compares to the Shotgun and Super Meteor. Let me know your thoughts?

  1. Brilliant review. I think I've made up my mind & it's going to be the Teal. I purchased a bike a few years ago based on one of your reviews & you were bang on, so I'm now confident that between the Bear & the clasic 650 it's going to be the Clasic. Excellent 👍

  2. Well said, sir! The 650 Classic has what's needed to keep the smiles per gallon going and going and going…

To date we do not get them in the USA but I am happy for you British folk! You guys get so many more interesting motorbikes that do we, your America cousins.

It needs tubeless spoke wheels. No…Really! No cheapo bicycle wheels should be allowed on a motorbike capable of freeway speeds.

  3. What do you think of the 243 kg kerb wt that this one comes with? Can you feel the heft and sluggishness over the lighter 218 kg Interceptor? And between the C650 and the Interceptor 650, what would you pick and why? thank you.

  4. That’s a beautiful bike, as a man of a certain age I do like the resurgence in classic looking bikes. The chrome, polished aluminium, bold colours. So much more interesting than 99% of the plastic fantastic rockets we have been fed for decades (see MT10)

  5. Firstly well done for this road test / review. Much is made of the modest power output of the RE 650 motors although the 650's of the past didn't do any better. The 650 Bonneville of 1965 made something like 46BHP. On the other hand it weighed a whole lot less. As for looks is is very well made and if it has a "look" it is 1960 Royal Enfield all day long. Wrong way at a roundabout or a video on the phone to relieve his mind from the tedium of driving Oh! dear that's Norwich driving eh?

  6. " I have a nice comforting bounce on my anus and I don't have many issues with the wind either " Well that's good to know ! Great review and I liked the side on shots showing the rear suspension in action.

  7. It's a perfect bike for those who want an oldschool bike but without all the tinkering a proper classic bike brings. Modern where it's necessary. Oldschool where it counts. I pre-ordered mine back when it was announced it'd be released and now eagerly awaiting its arrival here in Sweden. Hopefully just weeks remaining now. 🤞

  8. As usual with RE we are still waiting for the 650 Classic to arrive in the U.S.A. I know it is higher maintenance but, I like the chrome and black. I owned a Glitter and Dust Interceptor. Regret selling that bike.

  9. Now if they stuck the 350 engine into that frame then it would be the bike for me. I don't want a 650 but, being 6'4'' tall, I do want the larger frame. The gap between the rear mudguard and the tyre is too large and there should be more of a valance on the front 'guard to be called "Classic" IMHO.
Given that the £ has risen in value against the Rupee by 10% since 2020 I would have hoped the entire RE range would not have become so expensive since the Classic 350 was launched.

  10. Excellent vlog, looks like an excellent bike. Will go down to Moonraker and give it a look. Glad I'm not the only biker that finds the car drivers completely random. 🤓

  11. Very good review, lots of stuff which we like. Really looking forward to a demo ride. Bikes always look better in the flesh. My Interceptor is getting worried, for a good reason methinks. The bike sounds lovely.

  12. It looks pretty… but something seems off. I can still see the super meteor in it. Looks too long for a classic. The classic 350 looks more retro classic than this. The 350 is definitely the more beautiful bike. This one is twice the horsepower though so it depends what you want to do with your bike. In the peak district here, my 350 is perfect for me.

  13. People need to be more tolerant of other road users and show some courtesy. We have all been in a situation unsure of where we need to go. Moaning at other road users does not help.

  14. The black chrome is nice. surprised it didnt sell better than the wine red, considering the black chrome bullet 500 sold well.

id they made a wine-red-chrome, then i would be really tempted to get the classic 650😊
