I crossed the Alps on a touring bicycle, from Munich to Venice along the beautiful landscapes. This way calls Via Romea or Via Claudia Augusta (Alexwander edition). I’ve passed through forgotten places, ruined roads, natural wonders and remote regions.
This way is somewhat harder, then common route, but totally rewarding! How exacly it was – watch in this video! 🤟🏼

  1. Thanks for posting this. I'm glad that you survived your adventure bypassing that long tunnel (galleria Comelico). You have convinced us to instead stay on the beautiful ciclabile that passes through Cortina. How busy did you find the road between Lago di Santa Croce and Vittorio Veneto? It looks like the bike route is forced onto SS51, which we fear might be a bit dangerous.

  2. Alex, great journey. I really like your style of documenting. I want to do a long trip though europe myself, i cannot wait.
The hostile encounter with the italian is strange indeed. I can only guess, maybe when she heard your accent she thought you were from russia

  3. Alexwander, спасибо за отличное видео! Красиво и очень интересно! Респект!!
Скажите, сохранился ли у вас записанный трек вашего маршрута?

  4. Amazing video. It inspired me to bike a similar route, from Innsbruck to Venice but went through Cortina. It was an incredible trip. The climb to Brenner pass was insanely tough !!
