  1. Warum noch nie in Berlin, Land Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein sowie im Saarland?
    Was waren die Hinderungsgründe?

  3. I have not tried it yet, but the overall if we think about ordinary bike price tag vs. cargo bike, it is nearly x5 difference. So if decent usual bike costs 1K cargo bike roughly 4-5K.
Secondly, the dimensions of cargo bikes make them not so easy to move around in trains, even the bike parking slots are not built for cargo bikes, and this leads to the problem of infrastructure, that's the reason people buys ordinary bike and then buy trailer for cheaper price and use it for the transportation, when you dont need trailer, just keep it in your garage and use your bike as usual.

  4. Only ever ridden a longtail but that suffices plenty. Can hold 90kg of groceries and have taken 4 kids to school with it (one toddler in front, 3 kids in back).

It's literally allowed getting rid of one car (and all the costs attached to it). Just by cycling to school, work, groceries and hobbies I've managed to rake up 2500km per year (for three years in a row)

Best of all is I always get to park right at the door. No need to circle the block looking for parking or being stuck in traffic jams.

  5. Why am I finding about this event just now? I live near Düsseldorf and woul've loved to test a cargo bike. 😔 (I've only ridden "normal" unipersonal bikes before 😅)

  6. A family with two small kids couldn't afford it, because it cost 4500 Euros or more. Also, you would be worried it will get stolen. They are way overpriced. A 15-year-old car costs less than 1000 Euros. So, they just drive a junk car, and it never gets stolen.
