****THIS IS THE LONG VERSION OF THE FIRST 2 DAYS, SO FEEL TO PASS ON THIS ONE****
Eventually Ian and myself managed to get a trip pinned down after two false starts at the end of 2024, we met up at Carnforth before picking up the Lancaster canal and heading south. Join us and see what we get up to in this part one of our first joint trip of 2025.

a bit bad when you have to go on the road due to the crazy mud, it looked a real mud fest.
the temptation to pitch at the picnic table "6:55" would be to much for me 😉
Hi Dave watched you both again very good. Keep going. Cheers. B. K.
All I keep thinking about is when is Border Rambler coming back out for another wild camp?…🤔
I miss that guy’s videos! 😂
Deffo looks as though you prefer your bike packing to backpacking, Dave..
Very good we have done it a few times, there is an interesting bit when you start in Kendal where you cycle across fields with bridges but no canal then there is the Hincaster tunnel area, I would recommend doing this just for the experience. Also we popped on canal near Morcambe last week and there was a really muddy detour where repairs are being carried out but otherwise fine.
Forgot to mention if you pop into Preston again you could have cycled through the lovely parks area, so where you went up Fishergate hill, keep going along river and up through the park and Winkley sq. Much quieter and scenic.
Great video as usual, I see you did sections of the 25 mile long Guild Wheel that circles around Preston, almost all good surface and on cycle paths
Some beautiful countryside
Do you use kamoot or strava to plan your rooots?
