Figured I would share some thoughts on the new 12 speed State AllRoad 4130..
It was $1k (incl shipping to Hawaii) with the Valentine’s Day deal. Hard to beat considering my budget options are pretty limited on island and used bikes are usually pretty thrashed.
I would 100% buy it again. The 12mm axles, UDH, and disc mounts alone make it a super useful rig. The geometry feels like it was designed for a 100mm stem and metro bars!
It functions out of the box with minimal effort. The quality of the shifting and braking is not pleasant, but it does work!
After $120 in basic shimano hydro brakes and another $55 for a Deore 12 sp shifter and derailleur and I think I’ll be a very happy cyclist 😂
