This video is PART 2 of my experience picking up my motorcycle in Northern Germany after dropping off my bike in San Francisco 3.5 months prior. See Part 1 of me riding down to San Francisco to West Coast Shipping. (Link to PART 1: https://youtu.be/51qCMOODPHs?si=KvuQAWajK1QNn4Cl).
I also shipped my car which arrived 1 month later. I had a “better” experience shipping my car versus shipping the motorcycle. I recommend having Christian Reyer (Reyer Transport) deliver your bike and/or car to you in Germany. Reyer Transport is affiliated with West Coast Shipping for Germany. The original plan was to have my buddy in Lübeck perform TÜV inspection & ride the bike down, but we ran out of time due to the bike arriving so late in Germany. The bike was supposed to arrive beginning of November but was stuck in Bremerhaven Customs for a month. So I thought it would be a good idea to pick up the bike versus riding it down (in better weather) and to make a road trip out of it. It turned out that renting a trailer & driving for 4 days was a BAD idea. The expense involved plus having to drive slowly as the big trucks on the highway took too long, and was stressful, especially in the wind storm & rain storm. If it had been summertime, I would have simply flown up from Munich airport and picked up the bike. But it’s now December.
My car arrived a month later and had it shipped to my location 900 kilometers south and cost me only $950 with zero stress on my side. Plus my car was delivered in a HUGE FANCY “CLOSED” and clean transportation truck from Reyer Transport. WOW! The service was excellent. I should have just done that with the bike. (I will post that video too)
Here is more information and links for you.
Westcoast Shipping was my choice due to its excellent customer service and its location in the San Fransisco Bay Area. Westcoast Shipping offered to pick up my bike in Seattle Washington, but I chose to make a trip out of it and deliver the bike myself to their Richmond Warehouse east of San Francisco in the Bay Area.
My contact during the entire process was Monica. Depending on your shipping “from” location, you may receive Monica. You may also be contacted by Nick once your vehicle is at the warehouse. Both Monica and Nick were wonderful to work with, as was the entire staff at the Richmond location. If you talk to them, let them know that Michael M @ MotoTouring World Wide sent you 😊

Christian will handle customs for you, reducing stress and providing worry-free transport and delivery. Reyer International Car Logistics also handles vehicles from Canada, Switzerland, Dubai & Saudi Arabia. If you are shipping to another part of Europe or other parts of the world, you will be contacted by a different Agency/Company.
When the bike arrived in Bremerhaven, Christian made the next steps hassle-free and worry-free and I didn’t even have to show up at Customs in Bremerhaven. Please say “HELLO” the Christian for me 😊

enjoy the german roads, but be careful, the streets in Germany are a battlefield 🤣🤣🤣
especially all other road users 🤣
Great to see a video from you again. I got my Top Sellerie seat delivered last week & it's Absolutely Beautiful!! Of course & can't try it out on a ride as it's Blistering cold here in Northern Illinois these days. Hey I wanted to ask you about those "filler panels" you have in the area of the suspension dampener & the opposite side? I've seen on a couple ST1300's.
Never seen them as an accessory add on from Honda in the ST1300 days.
Viel Spass beim TÜV 🙂 The extra lights no chance 🙂 have fun
