I've been looking through Meetup and other sources for groups that organize trail rides in California. I live between Santa Cruz and Marin, both are excellent places for trails.
The only problem is I can find any actual events for rides.
There's only trail building, classes, and Town Hall meetups and are there non-riding activities, and I don't really have time. For example

Are there any that actually organize events that involve trail riding. Small groups. Maybe 5-10 people
