  1. Hey all it's been a while, hope you are all well, and thanks as always for joining me for this little adventure around the largest channel island, Jersey. This is going to be a three part series as I head into France, so consider subscribing if you are not already. Once again, thanks for stopping by and see you in the next one.

  2. Lived in Jersey for a good few years so it was great to see some familiar spots in this video. Thanks for taking us along for the ride 👌🏼

  3. There was a guy last few weeks doing a comedy skit on YouTube, walking from London to New Zealand, posting on YouTube each day… He got stuck at Dover when he found out that he had his wife’s passport. At least being stuck in Jersey is better then being stuck at Dover…

  4. I was born on Jersey, {moved years ago) your vid brought back some wonderful memory's. As you said Josh, wild camping is not that easy unless your familiar with the island and its nooks and crannies. The weather this time of year can be brutal, with large atlantic storms battering its coastline, you were just unlucky. Hopefully France will be a little more accommodating.

  5. "I know, France, it won't cost me more than two ferries!" Damn.

You must know Jersey now like the back of your hand! Enjoyable Josh can't wait to see the rest of your bikepacking adventure in France.

  6. I keep meaning to visit Jersey, as one of my heroes the surrealist artist claude cahun lived there during the facist occupation. Combining it with my new love of cycling would be very cool

  7. I usually have Google Maps open when I watch bikepacking/touring videos so I can better feel where people are. That shelter looks to be in a busy spot. Fair play for sleeping there.

  8. What did you do for the week you were stuck in Jersey? I can imagine most of the stuff to do is outdoor things which isn't so great in a storm LOL

  9. We went to Jersey last May for a few days – car to Poole, take the bikes off the back and went over as foot passengers. Had a great time, the Northern side has lots of climbs out of those little bays. About 40 mile circuit of the island, would highly recommend

  10. So good ! Like others that have commented, I lived on Jersey before moving to New Zealand, so many good memories in this video 😊 sorry that you had ferry issues though 😕
