Nice to hear about the Portsdown Classic. I did Perfs a couple of times, got dropped on the first lap a couple of times… 😂
Subscribed, partly because it's about time I took more notice of UK cycle racing, and partly, to be honest, because of the Eurosport/TNT debacle. Thanks Harry for running through the points system.
Hopefully, you can pressure the powers above at British Cycling to get their act together and remind them to fund the grassroots, because that's their ******** job.
Go race in Spain this time of year.Southern Spain 23c in temperature no cold wind or ice dry safe roads .The racing is very good and cheap accommodation and plane flights. Obtain a international racing licence from BCF.
Just to add to your conversation about points, its daft they give the same allocation for points in masters crit racing as in E123 crits. You end up with 45 year olds with a high category than 21 year old uni students which just undermines the whole system and looks ridiculous. I also remember when they used to give out points for each race during an open track meet, so you could win 40 points in one night if the standard was particularly low. They just need to can the whole system and start again
