so there we were after surviving the Harvard Bridge . . . . . . . might as well take a nice ride across Cambridge, Massachusetts and connect MIT to Harvard . . . . . . . . get a good look at Harvard Square and cycling in Cambridge, Massachusetts on this route going from MIT to Harvard University . . . . . . . .

nice exercise here as well it’s a sustained ride on Mass Ave depending on how the lights go for you but a gradual grind uphill a good portion of it

  1. I occasionally take this route from JP to Harvard but more often down Mem Drive (where the River bike path resembles an Afghan goat track–DCR take note). Cambridge deserves credit for putting vastly better infrastructure in place all the way up Mass Ave. The section through Central Square is usually a Depends Moment thanks to traffic density/double parkers/narrow roadway and you were a lot more restrained than it deserved.
