Two preconceived notions were shattered in this race: 1) only the world champion could so dominantly win, and 2) the oldest rider in the race could not be the best of the rest. Thanks, CX.

Just dominate, you can see that Vandeputte had it on cruise control for the last 2 laps.

Even without the sand section he would have won.
