So living in a hilly area, I decided to swap my 12sp 10-45 to a 10-51.
Installed the new cassette with a new chain and adjusted the b screw as per the shimano manual. All seems fine on the bike stand and shifts ok across the cassette but then it dawned on me I’m only running a medium cage and not a long cage.
What issues am I likely to run into? The chain seems tensioned ok in low and high gears and no different to my MTB that runs a 10-51 but with a long cage.
