Endurace CF 7 Di2 (105)
Hunt 44 wheels: first deep wheel, takes a little to get used to but in 20 miles, I got comfortable with them
25 Continental tires: plan on switching to 28-30 once I wear these out
Only 20 miles on it so far but in two 10 mile segments I’ve rode, I absolutely destroyed my previous PB by 3 minutes. I plan on giving regular(ish) updates as I put more miles and further rides (typically ride between 20-30 miles per ride but intend on upping those numbers a lot with Gran Fondos on the horizon.
The bike came “bricked” from canyon which was really annoying but I didn’t even bother contacting them. It cost me $30 for a shop to update the Di2 system and I just wanted to start riding the darn thing.
*For reference*
I am 69.5 inch tall (176.5cm) with a 33 inch inseam (83.8cm) Canyon’s sizing recommended a small albeit my measurements put me very close to a Medium but I think the bike fits great. My wingspan is 69 inches so my arms are slightly shorter than my height (general rule of thumb being your wingspan = heights) I will probably remove spacers gradually as I am very flexible and want to push my limits.
I came from a 56cm Trek 2100 zr9000
(20 year old bike) and I felt very stretched out. I was running a 90mm stem which really ruined the way the bike handled (comes standard with a 110mm) The perceived effort difference is insane as well as actual effort. The bike just moves. Maxed out at 28mph today with effort that would’ve rendered me 25mph on my trek. This is likely due to being better fit for the canyon but either way, the bike has more capability than I do skill. I ride with a group of 4-5 people from work regularly and can’t wait to see what I can do with a group.
