This is the ultimate 350cc motorcycle shootout!

Now we finally have the new Modern Classic from Honda, we pitch it against all of the Royal Enfield’s to find out which one is the winner.

Honda GB350S vs Royal Enfield Hunter (HNTR) 350 vs Royal Enfield Classic 350 vs Royal Enfield Meteor 350 vs Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

We are very familiar with all of the bikes from Royal Enfield, having ridden and reviewed them many times over the years. And of course, we both rode the Royal Enfield Classic 350 across India in our recent travel series, from Anjuna in Goa to Badami, Hampi and Jog Falls, then up along the coast of the Indian Ocean to Panjim, with Vintage Rides. https://www.vintagerides.com/gb/motorcycle-tour/south-india/goa-jungle-antique-wonders/?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mr_darcy_influence

We recently did a very comprehensive review of the new Honda GB350S https://youtu.be/WOqUbzKNbKI?si=h2PtfNYvNPi0j6r4 so while we had the motorbike from Honda, we pitched it against all its rivals.

Which bike came out on top? Which is YOUR winner?

Thanks to Sycamore Royal Enfield in Peterborough for lending us the bikes. https://www.sycamoremotorcycles.co.uk/royal-enfield

  1. The Hunter looks light and nimble. I might go with an RE if I go new, if I could choose I’d go with the Honda. I trust the Japanese manufacturers more. The bikes last. I have an 82 450 that hasn’t seen the light of day in decades … about to find out exactly how well. But I’m not like one of these guys in these videos … someone will have to “check my work” if the engine isnt seized.

  2. Gb350 any day better than all the Royal Enfield cl350 as it better ride quality , acceleration, handleing, top speed, smoothed single cylinder engine reliable, slipper clutch, feather light clutch, traction control, better mileage & above all tubeless tyre

  3. Thank you so much guys, as always it's just wonderful to see you both doing these comparisons. It is just so informative and simplified and makes it so easy to identify which bike is the better. One point out, having ridden both the classic and the bullet, I would say the bullet has a much more comfortable seat than the classic specially for the taller riders, but the classic handle bar setup is much better than the bullet. I own a bullet and that's my only complaint in this bike and that is the handlebar setup over longer rides is not great.

  4. I own a Hunter, and absolutely love it. It’s really taken a piece of my heart, but if I’m being completely unbiased here, I would agree that all things considered, the Classic 350 should rightly win the shootout, if for no other reason that looks alone. It’s an absolutely gorgeous motorcycle in my opinion. That being said, and although I’ve not ridden the Honda, I do prefer the looks of the Hunter over the Honda, and I have yet to get an iron butt on it. It is super comfy on longer rides, and on twisty mountain roads it’s going to be pretty hard to beat. It has great flickability in traffic as well.

  5. There’s a GB350 also that has a nice chrome exhaust, better mudguards although plastic, and the alloy wheels and tubeless tires are easier to fix on the road, the gb is also 30 pounds lighter. I haven’t seen the gb or ridden one but videos seem to pickup a lot of whining noise in the gb transmissions? I’m curious what the top speed on the RE classic would be on one with over 2500 miles on it, I know they run much better when broken in.?

  6. I feel threatened as an owner of the exact same Bullet in your presentation by the Honda. But purely on looks I will keep my Enfield, just the tank badge charms on the Bullet.

  7. I prefer the Honda…so best to worst looks mostly-
    Honda GB350S
    Royal Enfield Meteor 350
    Royal Enfield Bullet 350
    Royal Enfield Hunter (HNTR) 350
    Royal Enfield Classic 350.

I like more cafe racer modern look. Black and modern exhaust. Tires and simplicity on the Honda and the tank take me to my happy feel. I am a huge fan of the Triumph and Indian Scout Bobbers and BMW short fender Cafe Racers for looks. I am a new rider to the streets but road dirt bikes a lot in the 1990's. Just bought the Triumph Speed 400 as my first street bike, I got it in October. Haven't been on it a lot due to cold weather in East Tennessee. I did however get up early in December, Christmas day and week prior, first time on the streets early morning empty streets no cars. Lots of low speed practice in November and a little in January but had a needed minor knee procedure for Osgood Schlatter's ossicle removal, healing for one month and want to get up early. Left leg not swells but its almost one month recovery and have bike in storage garage near an empty industrial park on weekends…no place to keep the bike at home yet. So if it wasn't so cold and knee is still 100% on my left side. So I better wait one week to take it one or two back streets next weekend after this upcoming one. Hope to be healed and warmer. Thanks guys for a great video. Is it possible to do a factory tour? Do you guys like like BMW or Indian Bikes…? Are you hooked on 70's classics? Any other eras light a fire? What's your best motorcycle assembly stories? Best factories? Happiest employees…wonder which they ride?

  8. Thanks for another solid video. I agonized over a decision between these very bikes so I wasn't sure i should watch this since I had already pulled the trigger on the Bullet. I went in for the Classic 350 Dark and fell in love with the Bullet 350 Premium in the RE Tokyo showroom.

  9. Excellent bike comparison, presentation of the important differences is spot on as usually 👍
THANKS A BUNCH for your top notch quality work, lads, you help me tremendously selecting the right moppet for my Ol'Lady 🙏

  10. Tubeless tyres, better top speed, better mileage and fuel economy, better acceleration for cities. TRACTION CONTROL so there's no way the bike would skid if you get throttle happy in the wet, comes with SLIPPER CLUTCH, so clutch is feather light. These are ALL the pros of Honda. NONE OF THESE POINTS TO BROUGHT UP IN THE REVIEW. Honestly, I've been a fan but this was very biased looking. All these practical things do actually help the rider, and broght none of these up, and all you could think of was the mudguard, when to fix an extender is a 5 mins hack. Really disappointed. I too like the Enfields, but that doesn't mean I'd not even cover the plus points you get with Honda.

  11. The Honda just edges the Hunter on looks, I live in Asia so had the same thought process of comparison, and ended up buying the Triumph Speed 400, as it just had a bit more compared to these, but all great bikes for beginners or city riding

  12. What a thoroughly excellent 350 bike face off! 👍👍 I am an Interceptor owner and R.E. fan, but for a 350, I would take the Honda. I like the slightly more modern looks, lighter weight and low down torque. I agree about the front mudguard though and would look for an extender. Good job!!
