Edinburgh’s cycling infrastructure is gradually evolving into something approaching a comprehensive network. In late October 2024, we hired a couple of electric-assisted bikes and tested out what is on offer. Our journey took us across the north of the city, from Muirhouse to Portobello, then south into the city centre and back out to the north west. Here is our verdict.
