Yo wassup, has anybody tried the z coaster? How’s the fakies and crank flips? I’m on the Oddyssey clutch pro rn wanted to try something new, I wanted to try the bsd revolution but I heard the back wheel catches sometimes and that’s scary as chit

It’s kinda its own thing, while being the most expensive is the modern coaster/cassettes. Bonus points all spares are available to keep it running, it does however requires its own getting used to how it works, and the stock gap ring for many isn’t enough slack.
It can also be fully locked as a cassette hub.
Is it worth double the money? I’d say not really.
I had the bsd revolution and never had any problems. You just need to make sure the side bolts inside the dropouts are tightened.
I had sold it after little use because even though it had minimal slack,I was used to no slack so I went back to Casset.
But overall the bsd revolution is cool.
I’ve been running the z-coaster since it came out. It’s held up as just as well as my old Nankai I used previously, with the added benefit of minimal maintenance because of the sealed bearings.
I did add the slack ring with the smallest amount of slack. It does occasionally make a popping sound when I engage the coaster, but, from what I understand, that’s normal. Also, I did get some very slight wobble in the z-coaster after about 5 years that I fixed by adding a hub shim (also made by Profile).
It’s been a great hub for me. For the record, I ride strictly flat.
EDIT: Also, I’ve never had any issues with the coaster engaging or disengaging when I didn’t want it to… unless it was my own fault for not backpedaling enough.
I’m using a mission coaster rn switching to profile mini soon
