We go inside Enduro Bearings in Oakland, California, makers of the very best bearings for every component, from pedals to hubs, from bottom brackets to headsets, plus a full line for mountain bike suspension pivots too! Meet the bearing brains Matt Harvey and Mike Alders who cofounded and run the two divisions (bike and industrial bearings) and learn all about bicycle bearing technology, how Enduro torture tests their bearings and see some of the many innovative bearings Enduro makes plus other sweet products, like their exquisite bike tools. You’ll never take your bike bearings for granted again!

At the beginning of the video I show Matt’s historic Bianchi with Cambio Corsa gearing (also called Paris-Roubaix) and tell how the rear wheel moves when you shift. Here are videos showing some details on the operation:

  1. Like all truly American companies, they manufacture their products in places like Taiwan, Singapore, and, of course, CHINA. As China sends us billions of molecules, we send them millions of dollars to build their military so they can demolish us. Aren't American companies great? What genius! What vision!
